Up to 28 guests can be accommodated in our twelve attractive and comfortable rooms (one being adapted for a handicapped person). The boutique « Au plaisir des yeux » sells a selection of books about Provence, as well as local food products and specialities, toiletries, wooden and metal toys, You can also buy refreshments from 9.30 until 19.00 (« assiette garnie » 6 euros, mozzarella salad 6 euros, panini, dish of the day, drinks, ices….

At the old market place in the High village we serve mixed salads made with fresh seasonal produce. A warm welcome and service with a smile. Magnificent view of the Montagne de Lure.

The Spring of 2011 sees our 29th season. Overnight hostel, guest rooms, workshop/course centre, situated at the junction of the GR4 and the GR6, Chaloux offers 3 kinds of accommodation : dormitories, private rooms (with shared bathroom) and guest rooms (chambres d’hôtes).
Use of kitchen, large room (80 square metres) for courses or workshops – yoga, dance, massage…
Chaloux is an ideal point of departure for countless walks and hikes, eg : The Oppedette Gorges (5 hour circuit), Le saut du moine (3 & a half hour circuit), Simiane village (1 hour from the gîte), Old Montsalier village (3 hours from the gîte).

The gîte is in the living quarters of a traditional rural farmstead with outbuildings in the hamlet of Carniol, 3 kilometres from Simiane la Rotonde. The owners’ house is next door and the garden is shared between the two.
The living space of 40 square metres is suitable for 2 to 4 people. Ground floor : Living room (double sofa bed), kitchen, bathroom, WC. First floor : One mezzanine bedroom with double bed (140cm). Terrace with garden furniture. Wood-burning stove and electric radiators. Child’s bed and high chair available on demand. Bedding, sheets etc. can be hired on request. Animals accepted subject to certain conditions.

La Maison Dumaistre, situated in the pedestrian zone within the ramparts of the old village, is ready to welcome you for one or more nights throughout the year. In Spring, Summer and often in Autumn you can enjoy the rose garden relaxing on chaises longues. The different apartments are all spacious and light.
If you wish to stay for a week you can arrive on the day of your choice (subject to availability) rather than book from Saturday to Saturday.

« Le Petit Chavon » is a gîte with beds for 5 people plus a sofa bed for two, situated in a hamlet (50 inhabitants) in the midst of lavender fields, at 840 metres altitude in the commune of Simiane la Rotonde, Alps of High Provence. You will find the Luberon national park and the Mont Ventoux not far away. The gîte is next door to a traditional pigeon loft within a complex of farm buildings which have been completely restored, and is totally independant from the owners’ house. It is accessible to handicapped guests, (visual, auditive, motor, etc.)

Close to the plateau of Sault, the Mont Ventoux and the Luberon forest, the « Clos des Amandiers » is situated 3 kilometres from the village of Simiane la Rotonde on the D851.
The house was once an 18th century sheepfold built high above the road and surrounding houses ; it looks down onto sheep grazing on pasture land and onto fields of lavender. In the garden there are aromatic plants and you can admire the varied colours of different families of flowers.

The Clos de Rohan is an 18th century farm which has been recently restored, offering you a pleasant, restful stay. Standing amidst 65 hectares of woodland and lavender fields, the scents of Provence surround the farm. Both the suite « La Bugadière » and the guest room « La Fenière » are tastefully decorated. « La Bugadière comprises a living room with kitchen corner and terrace on the ground floor, with bedroom, shower room and WC on the first floor. « La Fenière » is a guest-room with its own shower room, WC and terrace. A second living room with kitchenette and a sitting room with open fireplace are at the disposal of all guests.
