The garden
of the “Abbaye de Valsaintes” |
A place of a great historical interest, with traces of
its former sacred function, including a beautiful oppidum
with centuries of history from prehistoric times up to the
present day.
The extraordinary garden is known world-wide. Jean-Yves
Meignen is at your disposal in the garden to reveal his
secrets to you.
In the midst of magnificent flowerbeds and mixed borders,
amongst thousands of roses (over 350 varieties) you can
share in his love of roses and wild plants. He will teach
you how to prune trees, roses and other plants. He will
explain his methods to create a garden respectful of nature,
and share his knowledge of the world of plants

Opening times
1st April-30th April : 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. Closed on Tuesday
1st May-31th August : every day 10.30 a.m.- 6.00 p.m.
1st September-1st November : 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. Closed on Tuesday
(open on Tuesday 1st November)
Entrance fee
Adults : 6€
Young people 12-18 years and students : 3€
Children under 12 years : free
A 32 page booklet is offered to visitors, also a questionnaire/game
for children.
